The Stars Are Shining Brightly Tonight !!!

About Me

I play piano and sing jazz; And play saxophone, and a little clarinet ... I love the classic standard tunes of jazz: Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Gerschwin, Berlin and many more. I love the Rat Pack. I also love Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie ... oh, don't get me started!I have a great time traveling around, doing my "one man show" piano lounge act, and jamming with the best musicians I can find in Las Vegas, New York, Canada, Mexico, Cruise Ships, Phoenix, Seattle, and most recently New Orleans...

Heroes:

HEROES I ACTUALLY KNOW: Ronnie Pierce, Sonny King, and Irv Klueger. Living proof that the life of the musician is the greatest life in the world. They demonstrate what an honor it is to live the life of a musician, and each has contributed greatly to the beauty of this world. HEROES IN CONCERT: Betty Carter and the great Laura Perry (aka Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lorraine Hunt) showed me how the human voice, braced with experience, coupled with emotional truth, can entrance, enchant, and elevate an audience with song. LEGENDARY HEROES: In a transcendent moment, Ike Eisenhower appointed Louis Armstrong as an official ambassador of the United States. Louis traveled every corner of the world, sharing the best of America, jazz music. Not only did Satchmo represent the highest degree of musical achievement, but he clearly spoke to human universiality simply by being himself. Mark my words, Louis Armstrong will personalize the concept of sainthood to future generations. Duke Ellington is also a hero; not only for his musical excellence beyond catagory, but also for assuming the arduous duty to keep his ultra high caliber orchestra before the public for a great many years. Billie Holiday showed the world how the human voice, through phrasing and truth in emotion, could express jazz as well as any horn. And Charlie Parker proved, through the musical expression of the jazz saxophone, that heaven may be a practical possibility.
