About Me

"An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, 'A fight is going on inside me...It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride, and superiority. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. This same fight is going on inside of you and every other person too.' They thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied..."The one you feed."

I believe in LOVE...............The SPEER Scoop.........She is an Aquarius, Cancer rising, Moon in Scorpio. Born and raised north of Seattle in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest, Jillian was a natural born performing artist...she thrived from dance, music, and acting. Speer studied dance from age 3 (ballet, tap, jazz, & modern) and competed nationally & regionally till she was 16 years old. Jillian started studying voice at 9 yrs. and classical gutar at 10 years old. Musical theater was also her obsession from 10-14 years old, she starred in almost every show she was in. At age 16, Jillian recieved an International scholarship to study in India for one year....there, she became a certified yoga instructor and learned how to play the sitar.Jillian cut her first demo at 14 years old, and recorded her first album at 18. Within a year, Sony wanted Jillian to move to Los Angeles to sign a record deal. The deal never came to fruition because they wanted 100% of Jillian’s publishing. Soon after, she went on tour opening for Jewel. Labels like Atlantic, Hollywood, and Maverick Records have sought after Jillian for many years but none of them aligned with her vision. She has remained on her own label, SPEERIT RECORDS, and continues to record and release her albums independently. Jillian has played at New York City’s “Songwriters Hall of Fame,” and two of California's biggest music festivals, “Reggae on the River" & “Earthdance Festival."Her title song, Angel Among Us was selected and released in a "Songwriters Hall of Fame" compilation CD. Jillian has been nominated "Best Album of the Year," by the LA MUSIC AWARDS. Her music has often been on Party of Five, the television series, and two of her songs are currently in a feature film being played on Showtime & HBO called, "Purp ose." She also spends a lot of time with children, though she has none, she is surrounded by them and relishes those moments most. Currently, she is busy recording her 2nd album. Speer's music is a unique blend of acoustic soul-folk/rock. Jillian plays either solo or with The Jillian Speer Band regularly in Los Angeles, where a devoted following packs the house.Speer has a deep interest and passion in making music but she also holds a true concern for humanity and the environment. She believes strongly in tying together artistic and political parties to facilitate solutions and increase awareness on the issues we face today regarding human rights, environmental urgencies, political issues, abuse, and poverty."My dream is to help raise the consciousness of humanity through positive and empowering music, for, it's force is unspeakable. Music is something that everyone can connect with and derive great inspiration from. We must realize that what lies behind music is a deep healing energy for the soul of humankind. I want to help people cultivate the inspiration and motivation to evolve into higher realms. It is a blessing to be able to do this kind of work with art, and I dedicate my life to it."Jillian Speer's music is soulful, poetic, and uplifting. Her rich voice will bring you into your heart. My dear friends at myspace.com/DolphinMana are Dolphin Cinematographers....they dedicate their life to sharing the dance and sacred messages of the dolphins....they swim with them in Maui regularly, and I have had the Honor and Priviledge to go out with them and call in and dance with the dolphins....the two cinematographers have a definate connection with the dolphins and it is magical to see, their shooting captures that magic, and then the music of my co-producer Bobby Parrs ties it all together. Watch this video and B r e a t h e IN the sacred dance of the Dolphins.
