Life Has A Way Of Demanding That You Live It

About Me

Computer geek by day, but "art fag"(see Dead Milkmen) by night. I have a teenage son who is the center of my universe and watching him grow up and introducing him to everything possible have been the best experiences ever. Whenever I am not busy being "Dad", I wander the local music scene and try to take in as much as I can.

My Interests

Everything interests me. Perhaps the most interesting things though are travel and other people. I love to meet new people, see new places, hear new stories. Everything in life is connected somehow and the more people you meet, the more pieces of the puzzle you are gathering.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone! Well, really people that are analytical thinkers, people who appreciate live music, people who have a deranged sense of humor. Anyone that doesn't all around suck. No mean people and no one who thinks that reality television is in fact reality.

Music:

The Cure, Split Lip Rayfield, Reverend Horton Heat, S.C.O.T.S., Concrete Blonde, Johnny Cash, The Ahn Trio, BR5-49, The Cranes, Stabbing Westward, Collide, Voltaire, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Spahn Ranch, Camille Saint-Saens, Eva Trout, B-52s, THe Kinks, Link Wray, Joy Division, Tenacious D, Brian Setzer... Way too many to mention...

Movies:

Nightmare Before Christmas, Harold & Maude, Better Off Dead, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Donnie Darko, all Kevin Smith films(yes, even Jersey Girl), Motorama, Cemetery Man, The Fisher King, Pulp Fiction, Tideland, Amelie, Big Lebowski, The Prophecy, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Grandma's Boy, again too many to mention...

Television:

No reality TV for me!! I mean how real can you be when you know there are cameras watching? Why are soo many people swept away by this crap? IT just illustrates the dumbing down of our culture. If you want to watch reality, turn off your TV And go to where the people are! I like Red Dwarf, BBC, the news (CNN Mostly), Cartoon Network, Nick at Night, Coupling, Dr. Who, AbFab, My Name is Earl and Heroes. You know, cartoons and British sitcoms make the world go 'round.

Books:

Christopher Moore, Jasper Fforde and Robert Tacoma are the tops right now. But, also like Carl Hiassen, Elmore Leonard, Anne Rice, Neal Stepehenson, Kate Chopin, Gregory McDonald, Clive Barker, David Sedaris, Carlton Mellick III and Robert R. McGammon. "Geek Love", "Foop!", "Sex, Drugs & Cocoa Puffs", "I hope They Server Beer in Hell", "Deity" to name a few favourites.

Heroes:

Starts again on April 23rd!!!
