Born in Ironton Ohio..moved to Cincinnati as a kid..then to Germany..Florida...Ohio again and finally to Charlotte North Carolina.
I played piano as a kid but it didn't take...the Beatles were my musical epiphany. Soon after, in 64, I got my first guitar and have played in every type of band since then. Started teaching guitar in 72 finished my degree in classical guitar performance at UNCC in 76..on the guitar faculty at UNCC from 76 to 81..left to tour with Rick Bowles from 81-84. After being chewed up and spit out by the music business, I started the Guitar Workshop in Charlotte in 84. Today we have three locations and an 11 teacher faculty. Over the years I have been privledged to spread the joy of music to many students, many of whom make music for a living.I am currently playing original material with the ALIEN VIBES EXPERIMENTAL ORCHESTRA and gigging with SMITTY FLYNN and THE RIVIERAS, (the best tux band in the state).
