Scott Newell has been playing the guitar since 1981 and grew up on rock radio. In his twenties he discovered jazz a la Miles Davis, John Scofield, Bill Frisell, Wayne Krantz. He began traveling to NYC, LA, Chicago, Montreal and other cities, absorbing great music. Around 2000 he met Reggie Dennis on a gig and they began collaborating on their own material. Scott has written a significant portion of the Justice League repetoire and handles JL's web presence and most bookings, a day job and a family!
Reggie Dennis began playing bass at age 19 and grew up on a steady diet of funk, but listened to all types of music. Reggie's a huge Prince and P-Funk fan and you can definitely hear it in his playing. His time is impeccable and he is always "on the 1". He's a big practical joker too. His enthusiasm for music is totally genuine and he's always up for playing, no matter what.
