Influences: Musicians from all over the country. Anthony Randolph who resides in Atlanta and plays for Bishop Eddie Long is Donnell's mentor. There is no one like this guy in all the earth. Another friend of d.eley by the name Andy who resides in Atlanta was well by way of New York. He got his organ style from this guy. These dudes are creative and they can hold it down on their own. Donnell's cousin, Mark James. A young guy by the name of Terry Brewer in Bmore. In school he was a beast, now he's straight killin'. Another friend from school, Theron Hawkins. Not only is he tight on the keys, but his tracks and sequences are excellent He's on d.eley's Top Friend list under the name The Specialyst. Check out d.eley's brother D. Dorsey music. He's right here on d.eley's page. He's doing his thing and it's blowing up real big.
As you can see from the list below, d.eley's musical influences range from gospel as well as R&B and Soul artist. A big part of his gospel flavor comes form his R&B style. Most of the gospel music we hear today and even in the past, had a particular style to it. What makes music so wonderful is that you can get creative with it instead of putting it in a box. It's not the style that's so important, but the message in the music that's most important. Music is influential. They are just some of his influences and the people he admires.
