Laurin aways had a passion for the arts from childhood. She was born in New York but partly raised in Miami, Florida. She later returned to New York City to attend The Fashion Institute of Technology where she got a degree for Fashion Design and then later another one for Accessories Design. But dispite her passion for fashion, she realized quickly that what she realy wanted to do is Costume Design. For seven years she worked as an Assistant Designer and Wardrobe Mistress for The Village Light Opera Group, Ltd. In 1996, she got to codesign a production of "Fiorello" for same opera group. As a resault of the success of the show, she attained a job at the prestigious famous theatrical costume house of Barbra Matera Ltd. where she works as a cutter and assistant to draper. On her own time she has designed numerous outfits for professional wrestlers and heavy metalist as well for psychic performers and a reality show contestant. Laurin hopes to someday return to college and attain a degree in Theatrical Costume Design and then join the union so that she may become a designer for Broadway shows and Motion Pictures.
