His grandparents emigrated from Japan 100 years ago and settled in Los Angeles. They started one of the first jewelry stores in downtown Los Angeles, which has now become Little Tokyo. Bruce̢۪s wife, Nancy, is from Minnesota and she is a direct descendant of William Brewster, the Captain of the Mayflower. They have two children, Alexander 22 yrs and Danielle 19 yrs and a dog, Chako. Bruce Kanegai taught Art for the 34 years at Simi Valley High School and Nancy is a 2nd grade teacher at Hollow Hills Elementary School. Bruce has survived many dangerous situations and survived a rattlesnake bite at Lost Canyons Golf Course that was featured on two National TV shows. He was a recent popular contestant on the TV show, SURVIVOR EXILE ISLAND 2006. In addition, Bruce has a large Karate program in the community, completed a 50 year Karate history book, and developed a home-based Internet business. He enjoys traveling, photography, reading, skiing, golfing and hiking. Bruce is a motivational speaker to national charity groups, Law Enforcement, Martial Arts groups, Educators, Art instructors, Rotary Clubs, Boy Scouts, and sport teams.

My Interests

Great adventures, traveling the world, backpacking, good tequila, outdoor photography, skiing, Jack Daniels, golf, reading, helping charities, Hawaii, the French Impressionists, the Italian Renaissance, any museum, Japanese gardens, and Europe.

I'd like to meet:

I love to meet great people who have a positive impact to young people, Sports, the Nation, and world. This includes Oprah, Maya Angelou, Ali, John Wooden, Ichiro Suzuki,Lance Armstrong, and Nelson Mandela. I love sports so I include the entire Angel team, the Laker team, Olympians and the Dodger team. If I am traveling, the sports teams of New York, Cincinnati, California, and Texas are always on my list. I read daily, so I must include great writers such as the bible, King, Koontz, Clancey, Cussler, Patterson.

Music:

Classical, Reggae, Hard rock, techno, hip-hop to Heavy metal.

Movies:

7 Samurais, Star Wars, Godfather trilogy, Gladiator, Brave Heart, anything with DeNiro, DeCaprio, Pacino,
