Bright beautiful and talented; these are just a few words thrown around Hollywood on a daily basis, however Sasha Lee Dindayal is the true embodiment of the description. She has progressed through her career, snatching the hearts and minds of all those she encounters. With a contagious swagger, determination, and a tenacious work ethic, this Canadian born treasure is well on her way to becoming one of the world premier entertainers.
Born into a creative household by parents of Trinidadian decent, the arts have been a powerful influence in Sasha’s life. As a young girl she joined the Toronto Caribbean Dance Theater where she got her first taste of performing on stage. The excitement of that experience drove her to enroll in the Do Dat Dance Agency, Toronto’s number one Hip Hop dance company. Shortly after, she appeared in the “Roots†winter clothing campaign, which put her as a model front and center on billboards and posters all across Canada. From there, Sasha was able to score principal roles in the films “All Things Fare†and “My Father’s Handâ€, both of which were featured in Toronto’s Cannes Film Festival. That exposure led her to a supporting role in Showtime’s original series, Soul Food, a role that gave Sasha the edge she was looking for in moving forward.
Sasha could see it was time for a leap of faith, so she ventured outside of her Canadian borders to take hold of the big picture. Her vision took her to the US, where she secured solid representation with Wilhelmina, one of the world top modeling agency’s based in both New York and Los Angeles. It was there that she began appearing in commercials and print ad campaigns for the likes of Ikea, Toyota, Sebastian Cosmetics, Boost Mobile, Dr. Pepper, and the Pepsi Corporation to name a few. You may have seen her playing leading video roles alongside such superstar artist as Usher, Justin Timberlake/Nelly, Jay-Z, Will Smith, and Busta Rhymes.
Currently residing in LA where some of the music industries top producers and record labels are based, Sasha is in the studio discovering her niche as a solo R&B vocalist. As she collaborates to record her first album and make her mark in the music industry, her modeling career remains in high gear. Sasha can be seen in Wayne Schoenfeld’s charity driven layout, “Vanityâ€, an eclectic work in which the proceeds are being used to provide medical attention to children with birth defects and facial deformities. This project made the cover of the Los Angeles Today Magazine and will be featured on the Bravo Television Network and in the book, “Mission to Indiaâ€, being co- published by American Photo Magazine.
