ico came to London from Portugal at the age of 7, here he grew up in an area rich in Caribbean and African music which Formulated the basis for his love of rhythms and beats alongside his Cultural Latin heritage.From an early age DJ Rico had a love for the originators of the DJ culture, the Hip Hop and Rare Groove, Dub and Soul that pumped out of the local sound systems that later influenced his funky and soulful taste in records which today rock the dance floors.Rico has graced the stage at pretty much all of London's top venues such at Pacha,Turnmills,The Cross,SE1, SIN and Ministry of Sound as well as playing at many other top venues around London.You can also catch him hosting his 'Flirtatiously Funky House Show' on www.SSRadioUK.com (The station also features Defected in the House, Catch 22 Records - DJ Disciple ,Oscar P from Open bar and HiLife Records to mention a few)DJ Rico is a DJ with a difference, his wide selection of music has kept him being a true player in the London Underground dance scene and you will find him spinning at the most exclusive and happening venues.
