I am here for Networking

About Me

I'm a drummer/percussionist and aspiring producer doing projects for a selected few artists in the Wichita area. I can only do projects that I am sincerely interested in, because work, family, and band responsibilities make my time limited. However, I have a tremendous passion for music, and I work very hard for the artists I choose to produce.I am currently running Mac and MOTU Digital Performer with a Presonus Firepod interface. I have a modest tracking/mixing room that gets the job done very impressively, and I have access to one of the finest engineers/producers in the Wichita area to help me out as needed.Chances are that if I'm interested in your music, I'll hit you up about it. However, if you think you are interested in having me do a project for you, and we have not chatted before, feel free to comment or send me a message. I never cease to be amazed by all of the great bands and singer/songwriters that are based here in the Wichita area. I love meeting new people in the local music scene, so please friend me up!

My Interests

I am a freelance graphic designer doing promotional work for web and print. I hold a BFA in Visual Communications/Digital Design. I am now doing full scale music production for area artists from my own studio. In June of 2007, I completed mixing and co-producing my first project for Acrosstic. It is a special blessing to record and perform with such talented song writers and performers and bring out the magic in what they do. Have a listen at the new material on myspace.com/acrosstic

I'd like to meet:

Duncan Sheik, Paul Simon, Manu Katche, and Peter Gabriel--not all at the same time. Also, any highly creative people recording and producing their own material using the Mac OSX platform and MOTU DP5!

Music:

Peter Gabriel, Manu Katche, Youssou N'Dour, Habib Koite & Bamada, Will Calhoun, Living Colour, Paul Simon, Michael Pluznick, Oingo Boingo, The Police, Dunkan Sheik, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Beatles, U2, Led Zeppelin, The Doobie Brothers, David Bowie, Pat Metheny, Vince Gauraldi, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Crash Test Dummies, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, Jars of Clay, Burlap to Cashmere, Rich Mullins, Michael Aukofer and ACQ, Mitch Mcvicker, Acrosstic, Steve Hatfield, .end of story (Skot Reed), Tori Amos, Matt Chamberlain, America, Seal, Deep Forest, Danny Elfman, Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini, Brazil 66, and John Williams. Some of my guilty pleasures include: Duran Duran, The B-52's, Madonna, Blue Oyster Cult, and Wierd Al.

Movies:

Pirates of the Caribbean (all), Star Wars (all), Fly Away Home, Brainstorm, Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (original), and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I like most any Tim Burton film. Everything TB does is brilliant. I would love to see Rustboy--if it is ever released. In general, I pretty much dig any of the CG animated features done by PIXAR, or movies with soundtracks done by John Williams or Danny Elfman.

Television:

No time--except for Austin City Limits or an interesting artist on SNL or Leno. I like the MHD channel too sometimes. If I'm really feeling like a couch potato, I'll watch Discovery HD theatre. I love listening to the music and sound production on the various shows. The HD imagery is cool too.

Books:

Where The Wild Things Are and Anansi The Spider--seriously. Those are my favorite books. Great stories and great art.

Heroes:

My Wife, and my Grondmother, "Honey".

My Blog

It is done.

Well, in June of last year I embarked on a perilous odyssey.  With the band's entire savings invested in studio gear, I thought I was ready to make a record.  A year later, we actuall...
