About Me

...and even in our deep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God"Seek the ironic, off-beat, down to real soulfulness. Read between the lines with tolerance, the open mind, and touch the child within. Cherish the wind in my hair. Savor an epic tale, an irreverent quip, a single Malt -a fabulous view. Moved by the bluenote in all music. Adventure upon the paths less traveled. Praise the children, the wizened aged, the beasts, the unspoiled places. Drift into fantasies return to truths. Strive to dance like Zorba --to release the rushes --to fend off the heartaches. and Good Lord -don't take it all that seriously. Fuhgetaboutit! Myspace Backgrounds

Heroes:

Heroes have 1000s of faces. The mythic ones, the world shakers heroically inspire and motivate mass movements. High profile renown. ****But you don't have to look too far. Bet there's one in your neighborhood, your family, your circle. Look in the mirror---The unsung ones touch me the most on either side of the RR tracks. The Mom's and Grandmas that stuck by the kids, warding off harm's way. The brothers or sisters carrying the load in a family tragedy. The self-destructive failure defeating his or her personal demons then arising reborn. The ones enduring an ill fate mustering immeasurable courage with all spirit left. #####Anyone willing to lay their life, their rep., their cushy routines, their resources on the line for another or for the focused pursuit of something greater than mere getting by. Treading that fine line between courage and reckless abandon---somehow artfully pulling off what was deemed not likely or sacrificing it all in the attempt. Actions that stand atop the list of a hero's credentials.
