Only a security professional educated and trained in executive protection deserves to be referred to as an "Executive" or "Close Protection Specialist" - and knows the difference. The service an executive protection specialist provides is beyond mere "bodyguard" protective service. The security person uneducated in executive protection principles perceives the profession as it is defined in the dictionary and thinks, "I'm going to protect my client from any harm! I'm a bodyguard!" By contrast, the educated professional in the business says, "I expect the unexpected, blend into the corporate and family structure and prepare to handle every problem before it happens. I am a close protection specialist." The combination of proper training, experience and approach to our position on a protective detail will make it harder for someone to attack our client.
