History
Formula was created when 2 experienced clubbers (Paul Roche & Stu Hinge) met in a London club and decided the focus was not on the crowd. The djs played for themselves rather than playing for the only people that matter, the clubbers. Within 2 months a night was organised and the ball had started to roll.
The first event on Sat 5th June 2004 was an amazing success with 216 clubbing buddies crammed on the dance floor going crazy until 6am. The next event in August, Formula hosted the basement in Egg for Fallen Angels. The manager was so impressed with the crowd and the atmosphere that Formula were given the whole venue and in September pulled over 800 clubbers to their first big night. In October the secret had got out about the vocal uplifting sound and the up for it crowd and over 1200 showed up and the Formula were well and truly on the map. Every month from then on hit capacity.

The name Formula
During one messy night with friends Paul Roche was discussing what to call the new event. After drawing a blank he explained that he had a Formula he wanted to stick to. Everyone in the room pricked their ears up and the name was decided.

The Formula
The Formula was pretty basic. No fillers, no flat tunes, no down turns in tempo, just vocal uplifting house all night, no excuses. As a clubber there is nothing more frustrating than being forced to sit down or leave the dance floor because the dj has decided you should. Just keep the energy in the music.

Our Aim
We aim to deliver the best time possible for those clubbers who have trusted us with their precious night out within the space available. Many things contribute to a good night out. From short queuing time, friendly door staff, the right lighting, dance floor layout, decor and then we deliver the music. Individually they may not seem like much but if too many factors are wrong the event will not work. This is where our experience comes in.
Many venues and promoters forget that we sell a package. If package is poor then the customers do not come back. Generally the customers are our friends and members, we invite criticism so we know what is wrong so we know what we need to fix. This is why we have such a strong loyal following.

Members
We currently have 5500 members. All of which have signed up online themselves. Once signed up members are given a membership card and are given discounted entrance at all of our events. The new 2007 membership key fob is currently being distributed and have had over 800 people have requested one in the first week.
