My name is Chris Tozzi and I am a 28 year old guitar player living in San Francisco. I have played guitar for over 11 years, but that true passion to play in a band never came until about 6 years ago. I have been in and out of various bands around San Francisco for that time, and like most musicians, have yet to find the perfect partners to be with. If anyone is looking for a guitar player for original music(rock/just see my influences and you'll have a good idea of the type of styles I like to play and hear)please drop me a line. I am so hungry to play live and be a part of something different that rocks, I can't even tell you! Which has led to my album here which is more then half-way done and should be complete with everything by spring 2008. This will be a guitar driven instrumental album with various other instruments and themes. This is a space journey, a time to leave it all behind. To live and survive, its really the only thing you can do. This is the soundtrack of my life.~~~
I have many influences but I never really sound like them. Some people just react different to what they hear, how they play, and how the environment shapes you. I believe I was first inspired by things like Frank Zappa'a Studio Tan, the intro song of the Spider-Man cartoon while in Santa Monica, Steely Dan being played while smelling something soothing, and the soundtrack of the original Star Wars thats still ringing in my head. I have few idols that mean everything to me, and they include first and always Jimi Hendrix. So much soul with his voice AND guitar, it's almost too powerful! Second is Joe Satriani, the guitar cousin of Jimi. Joe is replacing Jimi's voice with something even more powerful, another guitar!!! The connection I have to Joe Satriani is a life line of energy and inspiration, that has been a driving force my entire life.~~~
So far on this space voyage we have left our homeland and lifted off of Olympus Rising. I was lucky to have found safety but lost close friends Saving Alderon. Figuring out where your going can be hard, but I finally reached a Point of Parity. When you find what you have been looking for your whole life, you want more. The Luxury comes at a cost, to me and you. But in the end, we all find happiness. Unfortunately Loneliness Creeps and our future becomes unclear as the journey becomes tougher. Things turn even worse with a Neon Booby Trap and love is turned to anger. But anger can only last so long, and Space Blues fill that empty void. But as we reach our lowest lows, we find a Plane to Plata, a place of beauty and opportunity just worlds away.
The first half of the story has been told but is really just starting. We have collected our weapons and are ready to fight. We are ready to love. We are ready to find our way.I have found my passion in life. Have you found yours?
