Catland Rekids is probably a microscopic "label" that specializes in making obscure CD-R's that mostly include bands from Florida & Texas (also, frequently borrowing material (without asking) from an unexpecting and completely awesome touring band). It was recorded in 1993 on 4-track in some condo by the beach in Boca Raton (at this time in Boca Raton, Dashboard Confessional was just starting to gather song material from the Care Bears cartoon). ---Caustictones "Caustictones" Gary Costa is/was the Syd Barrett/Darby Crash of Florida. In May of 2006 he won the "I'm a Crazy Fucker but I'm Talented" award for the 17th straight year! ---Baby Robots "Diaper 'til the Shame is Gone(Diapertown)" Ever heard of the album "Piper at the Gates of Dawn"? Bobby + 2/5 Rubble + Matty C + SL Telles goddamned fucking recorded their own version, front to back! Only true Syd fans are allowed to be curious. ---Baby Robots "Catslovegrugshoes" A short mini-docudrama about cats, love & drugshoes. Even though some people may think otherwise, it's not about cats, love, drugs & hoes. ---Rubble "Rubble" The last recording of a band who belonged in a half-way house or at least half of the band needed to be in the looney bin or half-way between the half-way house and the looney bin...-----------Compilations------------"What's for Drugs?(2003)" TX versus FL + CA - PA x NY!
