At 23 years old guitarist/singer/songwriter Lydia Warren is a veteran of playing clubs, making albums, and entertaining audiences. With her bassist Matt Malikowski and drummer Warren Grant in tow, the band has recorded 4 CDs, toured throughout the United States, Canada and Lebanon, opened for countless blues and rock legends, received a nomination for a Boston Music Award, and appeared on NBC's Today Show, WHDH Channel 7 and New England Cable News. The band seemlessly fuses classic rock and blues influences with modern pop and alternative rock sensabilities to create a fresh, in-your-face sound like no other.
The trio has appeared with B.B. King, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Buckwheat Zydeco, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Hubert Sumlin, Litte Feat, and Rick Derringer. The band was selected for the Boston Blues Festival, Montreal's Festiblues (attended by 60,000 annually), the Hampton Beach Seafood Fest (attended by 200,000 annually), the NEMO music conference, Wachusett Music Festival, Barnstable County Fair, and Jonesboro Bluesfest. In 2006 Lydia and the boys traveled beyond New England on their first national tour, playing shows in Michicagn, Kentucky, North Carolina, Wisonsin, Maryland, and blues mecas Chicago, IL and Memphis, TN. During the summer of 2007, Lydia had the honor of sitting in with blues legend Buddy Guy at the venue he owns in Chicago. The band recently featured on the CD "The Best of the Boston Blues Festival, Vol. 2."
Currently, the Lydia Warren Band is working on an upcoming album.
