Those Crazy 88's ethic is to kick ass and they do so!! Hailing from Brighton and meeting the rest of Those Crazies at a music college, Robin Varley spent most of 2007/08 looking for the right members, crazy, talented, performers... but not 88 of them!!
Late 2007 led to Robin finding Nick 'Fall-Out-Boy-Ruined-My-Tattoo' Hill, Southpaw drummer extraordinaire and quiet guitarist and genius part-writer Chris James.
In the Spring of 2008 he found the wild, waistcoat-wearing guitarist Matt Oak during an impromptu audition for a Foo Fighters track. Robin instantly asked Matt to join him for a well paid gig and soon after decided to hire him for the band after the two shared an amazing rehearsal and gelled as performers on the one condition that Matt do "More of that shit with the pedals!!"
Next came '11inch Pete' whose name came about after a drunken after party at a gig where Pete decided to piss on the door to a toilet because he was too obliterated to realise he could go inside!
With all systems go, Those Crazies are now writing, recording and gigging, PLEASE PLEASE GO SEE THEM LIVE!!
