Joseph "Blue" Grant a.k.a. „Still Cool“ , singer, songwriter, producer and musician, was born in Jamaica and is known as one of the most talented entertainer from the island. Joseph "Blue" Grant has been in the reggae music business since the early seventies and while working in Jamaica has shared the stage with veterans like Burning Spear, Denis Brown, Bob marley, Judy Mowatt of the I-Threes (Bob Marley..s backing vocalists), Sophia George, Tiger, Brigadier Jerry, Freddy McGregor, Sugar Minott, Cornell Campbell, Tony Rebel, Eddie Fitzroy, and many more top reggae artists. Joseph Blue gives credit also to working with some of Jamaica..s finest musicians like Pablo Black and Jah Privy (Studio One), Earl „Bagga“ Walker, Earl „Chinna“ Smith, Tyrone Downie, Robbie Shakespeare, Noel „Sowel“ Bailey, Junior Dan,ect.ect.
Joseph Blue founded the name and the popular reggae group „Still Cool“ in the seventies. Group..s members were; "Louie Campbell, Steven Hylton, frank Dimond and himself" This Jamaican reggae group graced the stage of many shows promoted by the Twelve Tribes of Israel Organization and Band, creating the anthem of Rastafarians and poor people all over the world with the number one hit „To Be Poor Is A Crime“ (1981), written by Joseph Blue grant This song was covered by Freddie McGregor and again it was a number one hit in (1992) and was awarded The number two reggae song of the year 1992 in Great Britain.
The group had taken a rest from the music scene and Joseph"Blue"Grant had migrated to Europe, but while working in Europe he kept the Still Cool vibes alive by refering to his backing band as the „Still Cool Band" which consists of musicians from Jamaica, Germany, Africa and other Carribean countries, his album releases are CD „Distance Makes No Barriers“.(1996), Another CD Album „Digital Jockey – 8 Studies in Dub“ (2000) includes the single remix of„To Be Poor Is A Crime“ from which the video clip earned pic of the week on MTV Nordic Europe. His 7“ singles releases are the original „To Be Poor Is A Crime“, „Poverty Is Wicked“ released in Jamaica (May 2001), „Distance Makes No Barriers“ released in England and CD album „Save The Planet“ also released in England and other Eu.countries, Joseph Blue Grant worked together with artists like Jerry Lions, Mark Addis,Culture Levi, and even Britains number one reggae singer and producer Peter Hunningale on some productions, 2008, will see him releasing his new album"Cant stop this music" and doing his promotion tour starting in April in Holland and other Eu countries
As his Danite traits described him Joseph "Blue" Grant is truly a judge, a ruler of good judgement righteously expressed, a defender and an advocate of reggae music. All these characteristics are seen in the lyrical contents of his songs.

Joseph "Blue" Grant macht seit den frühen Siebzigern Reggae und stand gemeinsam mit Musikern wie Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Judy Mowatt (I-Threes), Sophia George, Tiger, Brigadier Jerry, Freddy McGregor, Sugar Minott, Cornell Campbell, Tony Rebel, Eddie Fitzroy und vielen anderen auf den Bühnen Jamaikas.
Bei Studioaufnahmen arbeitete Grant jahrelang mit der Elite jamaikanischer Musiker wie Robbie Shakespeare, Earl "Chinna" Smith, Pablo Black, Jah Privy (Studio One), Earl "Bagga" Wanderer, Tyrone Downie, Noel "Sowel" Bailey, Juniordan usw zusammen. Während der Siebziger gründete Grant die populäre Reggaeband "Still Cool", deren Namen er bis heute trägt Die Mitglieder der Gruppe waren neben ihm Louie Campbell, Steven Hylton, Frank Dimond. Die Formation wurde berühmt, als sie eine wahre Hymne der Rastafarians veröffentlichten: den Nummer Eins Hit „To Be Poor Is A Crime“ (1981), geschrieben von Joseph Blue Grant. 1992 wurde der Song von Freddie McGregor gecovert , der Titel wurde wieder ein Nummer Eins Hit in Jamaica. Im gleichen Jahr wurde der Track zum Reggae-Song des Jahres in Großbritanien gewählt.
In den 90.er Jahren wanderte Grant nach Europa aus, löste die Gruppe „Still Cool“ auf und stellt er neue Backing-Band für sich zusammen. Diese Formation taufte er "Still Cool Band", deren Musikern aus Jamaika, Deutschland, Afrika und diversen karibischen Ländern stammen.
2008, nach der Veröffentlichung seines neuen Albums „Cant stop this music“, absolviert er eine Promotion-Tour durch mehrere europäische Staaten.
