About Me

Since 1994 Bob Mills has been involved in various band formations and played numerous roles including lead and backing vocals, bass, and most recently keyboards. In 1994 Bob's first band, "Leon's Groovy Cut" was formed by four high school Radiohead enthusiasts who would eventually go on to release the indie record "Delay". In 2003, with the departure of LGC's drummer the studio based project "Your Goodbye" came to be. After spending six months constructing the studio and perfecting the recording process, the members experimented with many different sounds and genres. The EP "Against the Cities" pulled hard on influences such as Elbow, The New Pornographers, and Longwave. The single "Almost" would also be Bob's first full songwriting credit and launch his capabilities as a singer/songwriter. The frustrations of being isolated on a Canadian peninsula with limited artistic infrastructure proved too much for the Your Goodbye members. In early 2005 Bob would relocate to Toronto in order to be close to the Canadian music scene. While sleeping on the floor of the former LGC drummers apartment the concept of the group "bigIdeas" came to be the two set off to find the appropriate members for the group. By New Years 2006 the group was playing top clubs throughout the city of Toronto and forming a strong and devote following. After finishing an intelligent four song EP with producer Brian Moncarz (Pilate, The Junction) a future in making music appears written for Bob Mills....or is it?
