Crazy McTorp

I am a development- and environmental consultant with a M.Sc. in Geography & International Development Studies. My specialty is the study of the social and political character of environmental conflicts in developing countries and I have done extensive studies of the social organisation of rural indigenous communities in the face of struggles to access natural resources and land in the rainforests of Borneo.

Besides an academic interest in environment and development I have enganged myself, in my spare time, in various international and national grassroot organisations dealing with environment and development such as Amnesty International , ATTAC and Nepenthes .
When I'm not out trying to save the world I enjoy a range of activities and hobbies. The last few years I have enjoyed scuba diving and I am a certified Rescue Diver. I also play football (soccer) on an old boys team called FC Farlige Lyn , which translates to FC Dangerous Lightening.
