Computer programmer by day, punk rocker by night. I do the day job so that I can pay the bills and support the record label ( Insubordination Records ) and the tour with the band ( Beatnik Termites ). I also play drums for the Baltimore band Thee Lexington Arrows , guitar / keyboards / backup vocals for The Motorettes , a motown cover band, and guitar / backing vocals The Proteens
Favorite Foods : Sushi, Korean, Indian, Thai..anything weird or exotic. I also love to experiment with cooking..sometimes successfully, sometimes not....
I run 4 miles a day and love to read about history and science. Cigarette smoke disgusts me. I'm a clasically trained musician, which is rare for a punk rocker.....People think I'm a eunuch because I sing so high and am unable to grow facial hair, but really, the last time I checked I still was in posession the family jewels. For some weird reason, I just made it about halfway through puberty and then my bodily maturation came to a screeching halt, which explains why I still look like a kid....I'm, a neatness/clean freak and mildly anally retentive, obsessive compulsive. I flush with my foot and use paper towels to turn on the sink and open the door when exiting public restrooms. I love the oldies and that's pretty much what I listen to all the time, with the exception of a few classic punk bands like the Ramones and Blondie.
I try to live a healthy lifestyle and drink socially, but do not smoke or do drugs and I exercise fanatically, which probably has something to do with why I still get carded when I try to buy booze.
I'm a pretty straightforward person and I don't like people who play games. I can smell a turd a mile away due to my hyper-sensitive bullshit-detector. That being said, if you are fucking with me, I will write you off faster than you can bat an eye. Sorry, but experience has made me quite cynical. On the other hand, I am a very loyal and generous person to those who earn my respect, and those who take the time to earn my trust find it well worth the effort.
While I'm socially very liberal (eg- tolerant and open towards those with "alternative" lifestyles, pro-choice, etc...), I believe the individual is personally responsible for his/her own well-being, making me quite fiscally conservative. Can you say DIY? Yeah, that means I believe that resourceful, hard-working individuals should be able to reap the fruits of their labor without being penalized for "making too much". On the other hand I believe that lazy people should get exactly what they deserve -- nothing. If you have the will and the discipline, you can achieve anything. The sky is the limit. I believe that life isn't about handouts, but working for what you have. I worked my ass off to get where I am. There's no such thing as a free ride. I suppose that makes me a bit of a Darwinist, which is a good thing because Charles Darwin was a very enlightened man. That being said, if you like to stay up all night and sleep in until 2pm every day, eventually, you're probably going to do something (or most likely neglect to do something) that will piss me off, since I rise at the crack of dawn (in order to work a full-time job, run a record label and play in 4 bands) and lead a very ordered, disciplined lifestyle and expect people to deliver in a timely manner. Now, people may say that all work and no play makes Pat a dull boy! Well, I'm not a dull boy. I just know how to separate work from play, but when I party, I party hard and have a hell of a time and anybody who knows me can attest to that.
