Lyle and the Family Promotions

Lyle and the Family is Lyle's promotion... Lyle was getting some gigs around the Columbus area but never was the headliner which is cool because of all the great talent out there...
One day he said to himself I can do this promotion stuff, well yes he can but it's harder than just getting on a gig... Finally he booked a show at The Thirsty Ear in Grandview, Oh and needed a name, everyone seemed to use friends when they promoted thier shows but Lyle wanted more so he made it Lyle and the Family...
On 5-4-06 The 1st Lyle and the Family took place... There were 4 acts at the first one with a suprise apperance from John Mullins sitting in with Bill Kurzenberger and then again with John, Lyle and Felix coming up with Bill on Sugar Rae... Jason Rager Lyle's roomate at the time sat in with Lyle on a couple songs and then Lyle and Bill played a few songs together... Pretty small crowd of about 35 people but still not bad...
Not getting the crowd he knew at The Thirsty Ear Lyle finally booked a show at Ruby Tuesday in Columbus and on 8-24-06 Lyle and the Family had a second show... This time there were 5 acts Eric Nassau and Friends, Bill Kurzenberger returned to the 2nd one as well as Felix an unscheduled song by Mandy was performed, Cliff Starbuck joined in and Dib Dow joined Lyle and Terry Carr also along with Cliff joining in again and Dib Dow ending the night...The crowd that night was about 50 and another LATF was arranged for 11-16-06... Hope you can make it out...
