In the beginning -- Glenn was circumnavigating the world while simultaneously writing his memoirs. He met Joey in Tangier, where she had become an infamous, but skilled, knife-thrower at a local tavern.
One night, they realized they had to write music to save themselves from humanity. So, taking the first jumbo jet airliner back to Los Angeles, they settled into the world famous Las Palmas Sound Labs to record a musical album. Upon completion of said album they began to cull members for a band.
Glenn thought back to one of his many “good ole days,†king crab fishing on the Bering Sea. He conjured up the visage of an old acquaintance; a man who had been quite talented playing beats on plastic buckets for trinkets and seashells. He immediately sent a priority message to Mike Elliot with a bold proposition. Mike eagerly accepted.
Mike's early days in Los Angeles were spent languishing at the racetrack, betting on horses and bawdily heckling jockeys. This is where he met world famous horse trainer Joe Melehich.
While taking a Lippizaner stallion thorough his paces, Joe expressed his love of the arts to Mike. Fingering his whip, Joe admitted his heart soared when he reminisced about days playing sousaphone in the school marching band. Mike, humbled, realized that Joe was destined to be the fourth member of this royal rock n’roll ensemble.
The horse continues to be well cared for.
