Lutèce Borgia is a streetpunk band from Paris. They started in 1999 playing punk oi! with 80's influences, some of the members were playing the songs since the mid-80's. They released a demo, a 7” called “Dans la boue” and play 20-25 concerts around France in the first 3 years. In 2002 they changed line-up and Eric (bass + singing) arrived, bringing some more rock'n'roll influences. If the basis is still punk-rock, as Cécile (drum) is fan of the Ramones or the Clash, with oi! influences, Ben (guitar and singing) listening mainly bands like Hardskin, Cockney Rejects or The Templars, Eric has bring his rock'n'roll taste (Motorhead, Nashville Pussy…) in the sound.
With this line-up, they toured Ireland, Italy, Germany, Hungary and Czech Republic, and issued the MCD “Choose”, a split EP with The Janitors, and appeared on the DVD “Oi! the Meeting 2005” from Bandworm…
They are now one of the headliners of the French streetpunk scene, playing each year 15- 20 concerts all around the country. They though last year they were finally ready to issue their first full lengh album. It contains what they consider as their best songs of the band, lot of them are new, some of them are played until the first concert of the band, but played in a really better way after this 70 and so concerts…
