Born Januray 9th 1986 in the parisian suburbs, Dancehall Queen Shisha has Guadeloupean origins and a huge passion for dancing.At a young age she started taking hiphop and modern jazz classes. Then as a teen finally discovered reggae and dancehall.Evolving by coaching young ones in her hometown and dancing at neighborhood partys, the soon to be dancehall queen found her real motivation !She also decided to do some castings to join dance groups and be featured in video clips.The results where very positive, and since then Shisha has been seen in many music videos in France and in Africa with artist like :
Kaysha,Lino Versacé,little Shabba,African Vibes,The mask,Jamadom,Dimomay, Manu key (Mafia Kainfry), Dany Dan, Dézil, Daddy Morry, Krys, FALLY, Damaniak crew, Fénomène, T-rio, Ludo and many others...Threw out that time, DHQ Shisha competed in many dance competitions in her country and has been crowned Miss Paris Dancehall Queen in 2005.One of her biggest performances was transmitted on France 2 ''Live from le Chateau de Versaille'' with Krys, a proliferant West Indian dancehall artist now living in France.Dancing is her love and life so she has learnt to master many different styles of African and West Indian dances, such as, Coupé décalé, Zouk and Ndombolo.Shisha is also part of the reggae dance group ''Why dem faya'' who are renowned to be the ''Elite'' of the French dancehall dancing scene in France. They can be spotted live at various and numerous reggae events all over Europe.With her art Dancehall queen Shisha has had the chance to perform in Paris with Frisco Kid from Jamaica, and meet many dancehall reggae artists like Capleton, Elephant man and Shaggy.But this year after all the hardwork, The french DHQ won first place at the annual European dancehall queen contest that was held in Bologna, Italy.And with that title, she has qualified herself for an all expenses paid trip and entry to participate in the ''International dancehall queen contest'' held every year in Montego Bay, Jamaica.With this exposure Shisha hopes to have more opportunities in the reggae dance world and let everyone see her passion and talent for this dance.DANCEHALL CLASS IN GWADELOUPE
