Aaron Shorr

My Musical experience started around age 10, when i showed an interest in taking drum lessons, to follow my older brother. Although after only a year, i lost my interest in drums, and took up guitar. In High School i started playing and learning jazz music, which then provoked me to cut classes in order to make time to practise. AFter High school i Attended Humber College in Toronto, where i had to pleasure of studying with Ted Quinlan, David Occhipinti, Kelly Jefferson, Rick Lazar, and Pat Labarbera. Following My year in toronto, I moved back to my home town winnipeg, and started gigging regularily around the city, while studying with Drummer Alvin Atkinson. Since then I have been playing in a Jazz fusion group called Filament, as well as other jazz groups. I Have had the opprotunity over the past year to have lessons with Ben Monder, Peter Bernstein, and Mark Whitfield. I look forward to what the rest of my life brings musically, and look forward to networking with more musicians.
