Joel John

32 year old singer/songwriter Joel John started writing and performing as a solo artiste back in 1997 started off 4 years before with a christian acoustic band called "Jericho" With a mix of positive lyrics and a music style ranging from, very easy listening to pop, soft rock and even reggaeJoel has been actively involved in the Youth Ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Trinidad & Tobago for the past 14 years. His main goal is to continuously deliver a positive message to the people of this world in particular the youth.Joel has had some significant songwriting success, after being nominated in the Gospel songwtiter of the year category at the 2004 COTT music awards Joel went on to win the Grand prize at the Nashville Song Service Lyric Writing Competion in Sept 2004 with the song "The Angel's song" Then again in 2005 Joel was nominated twice in the Gospel song of the year category.Over the years Joel has been blessed by a growing fan base and his annual benefit concert "A time to love a time for peace" is usually sold out. Joel also opened for the internationally acclaimed singer/songwriting Richard Marx in October 2005 in Trinidad, the show also feature popular 80's band Starship.Joel first album "Keep the Faith" was released in 2002, a collection of ten original songs. The long awaited follow up album will be out in Nov 2006 it's entitled "Shine" and features 12 original songs, including The Angel's Song, Without You, My Love, Beautiful World & Always.
