My Stories of life experiences can only be told by me, in my own words, and in my own way...That alone can never be duplicated.
At the ripe and underdeveloped age of five, a timid and shy little girl with a very big voice sang angel by Anita Baker in front of a familiar crowd of family and friends at a backyard barbecue. Since that very moment Anisha Rene' had a profound knowledge of her life's calling. She wanted to be a singer. Music has always been a celebrated form of entertainment throughout her family which enabled Anisha's talent to develop naturally.
Anishe Rene' was born in Detroit Michigan the youngest of 3 children and raised by a single mother. Living in what most people considered the ghetto exposed her to the hardships of life early on. She witnessed poverty & violence first hand and its effect on the minds of people it surrounded. Anisha learned fast that anything in life worth having comes with hard work. Experiencing life and observing the lives of the people around her helped Anisha to create her own unique edge to singing and songwriting.
Anisha Rene' has developed a signature sound which can be attributed to her impressive songwriting skills. If asked to describe her music, Anisha will tell you that her sound is a fusion of soul, funk & urban flavor, a creative mixture of personal, global and fictional experiences. Her jazzy new single, "Blame My Heart" is creating a heavy buzz in Michigan clubs and gradually expanding. Anisha Rene's sultry alto blends beautifully over hot tracks, her jazzy vocals are powerful and her sound is infectious.
Anisha Rene's musical influence began in the church choir where she flourished as the lead alto. Anisha eventually became a regular at local open mics & talent showcases, collaborating with some of the hottest local talent in Detroit. She's written various jingles for local & out of state radio advertisements including Detroit's own Shopper's World Department Stores and a Chicago based transportation company called J.T.A. Anisha has even auditioned for American Idol.
At 28 Anisha Rene' is still a very driven & dedicated artist, her song writing and performance skills have improved tremendously over the years. Today she is more confident and anxious than ever. She's been compared to Mary J. Blige, Angie Stone and Jill Scott just to name a few. Although the comparisoins are flattering, Anisha Rene' hopes to standout amongst the ranks of successful artists in a class of her own.
