SERVICE RECORD: Completed Recruit Training at Parris Island, S.C. in February 1985. Ordered to Fort Sill Oklahoma for training as a Field Artillery Meteorological Crewmember (Military Occupational Skill-MOS 0847). Completed MOS 0847 school at the top of the class and was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal (LCpl) June 2 1985. In June of 1985, I reported to Head Quarters Battery (HQ BTRY) 5th Battalion 11th Marines (5/11), Twenty-nine Palms, California for duty with HQ BTRY Survey/Met section. Meritoriously promoted to Corporal (Cpl) on June 2nd 1986. In September 1987 I reported to HQ BTRY 4th Battalion 12th Marines (4/12) in Okinawa, Japan for duty. October 1988 I reported to separations Company in Camp Pendleton, California for separations processing from Active Duty to the IRR. In July 1989 I re-enlisted for Active Duty and received orders for re-training as a Marine Artillery Scout Observer (MASOC) MOS 0861 and ordered to Fort Sill Oklahoma for the training. In September 1989 I went to Coronado California for Naval Surface Fire Support Training and graduated two weeks later. In October 1989 I reported to 1st Air and Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLiCo) for duty as a Forward Observer (FO). I would also report to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for duty as the ANGLiCo Detachment Chief in May of 1992 to April 1993. While with 1st ANGLiCo I participated in several combat contingencies that included: Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Southern Watch and Restore Hope. In July 1993 I reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego for Recruiting School. In August 1993 I received orders to Recruiting Substation (RSS) Winston-Salem N.C. permanent Contact Station (PCS) Mount Airy N.C. In September 1996 I received orders to 1st Battalion 12th Marines (1/12) Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii after completing a successful tour on recruiting duty. In Hawaii I would conduct many operations that included 3rd Marine Regiment. Specifically 1st Battalion 3rd Marines (1/3). In January 2000 I received orders to report to 1st ANGLiCo Rear (1F4), which was officially called the Marine Liaison Element (MLE), at Camp Lejeune, N.C. MLE would officially be renamed as 2nd ANGLiCo in July 2003. While with MLE and 2nd ANGLiCo I would again participate in two more combat operations: Operation Enduring and Swift Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq). In September 2003 I reported to the II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) for duty, where I held the positions as the II MEF G-3 Force Effects Coordination Center's (FECC) Plans and Systems Chief.TRAINING RECORD: Licensed Tactical Vehicle Operator up to 5-Ton, Laser Systems Safety Officer/Trainer, GUARDFIST II Trainer Certified Operator, Marine Corps Recruiter, Scout Observer, Naval Surface Fire Support Spotter
