About Me

Hello you, thanks for looking in :) Used to drum in bands in Glasgow such as (and in order) Unity Express, Space Kittens, Purple Noise Explosion, The Tombstones, Static, Limehouse, Superslinky and a couple of other line ups (oops, I said line ups!). Music has been my main driving force, in the early eighties I adored and followed The Damned, complete with eyeliner and pointy shoes. Then shoegazing became my thang, Ride, MBV, and The Telescopes. Then football became my obsession, having been raised an Albion Rovers supporter I jumped from the fireplace into the Premier Division with Partick Thistle. After that, it was scooters - Vespa's to be exact. Still into the scene, still own my Vespa's, I'm part of the successful Scottish No. 1's Committee who organise the Scottish National every year in Kelso (http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/scottishscootdiary (this years Kelso being the most successful to date!). Along with scootering came a love for Northern Soul and Mod bands and a return to garage stuff. This year I've been obsessing about Morrissey and dug out all my old Smith's stuff. Must be because it rains a lot in Hamilton :) Workwise I've been a Graphic designer for over 15 years working for various companies including Scottish Opera and Barkers Advertising. Andy and I were married in August 2001 and in November 2003 our smashing daughter, Morven, arrived. I left work to do the best job I've ever had, being her mum. Back to work full time now for a large American owned company, travel a lot, we're thinking of working in the states for a wee while - watch this space ....

My Interests

Scooters, partying, rallying (all the same thing really), getting out and socialising, still horseriding - actually improving too. PTFC & Albion Rovers scores. Best red wine deals. Curry. Climbing trees. Wishing & hoping. Currently we have two rats (Dot & Dash), two goldfish (Morrissey and Marr), a fat article of a cat (Smadge) and a mentally ill cockatiel (Gregory ... Peck) - I fake intrest in cleaning them out. Curling - try it - you'll love it!
