My Interests

My interests include family life, reading the Bible/ devotionals and practicing on my drumset. I'm not too much into sports (maybe hockey during playoffs), but I love music, mainly Praise and Worship. Other stuff I like when time permits is photography and antique clocks (especially from Holland)and computing (I run Mac and PC). I occasionally play drums with a worship group in our church fellowship ... Bethesda Christian Fellowship. Check out http://www.bethesdaonline.org

I'd like to meet:

I work in Christian radio ... and I'd like to meet you! It's all about getting connected and encouraging each other in the Lord!My goal is to introduce myself to you (have a look at my pictures - and leave comments!) and I'd like to take advantage of today's technology and expose Praise & Worship even moreI'd like to connect you to the artists/groups that you hear on Power Praise (read below for information on this program that I host). Along with Praise and Worship artists, you'll see a variety of other's added as 'friends'. Connect, connect, connect ... enjoy!

Music:

I work in radio and my show "Power Praise" features Praise and Worship! Praise and Worship allows me to give God my love and thanksgiving ... and in turn, fills me with His love and awesomely blesses me. God does amazing things through Worship, He even fights my battles! Martin Luther once said, "The devil, the originator of sorrowful anxieties and restless troubles, flees before the sound of worship almost as much as before the Word of God".It's exciting to host "Power Praise" every Sunday morning on 105.9 SHINE FM in Edmonton, Canada and on 88.9 SHINE FM in Calgary, Canada (6-10 AM MDT on both radio stations)Listen live ... www.shinefm.com

Movies:

I like comedy movies (side-splitting without the filthy language or steamy scenes), which are as rare as hen's teeth. I dislike the Hollywood mega-moneymaker blockbusters that star the same actors all the time. I love documentaries. So with my picky criteria, I don't see a whole lot of movies... but then again, I don't think I'm missing much.

Television:

For the most part, I love TV programming that I can take something from and be blessed by. I get 'Miracle' channel and love a lot of their programming. Hey, you MUST check Extreme Prophetic on Monday evenings and late Friday nights on Miracle Channel. Website at www.extremeprophetic.comI also have a liking for programming on National Geographic Channel or Animal Planet (keeping a deaf ear to the "50 billion years ago" farce). Okay ... I like 'Deal Or No Deal', 'Extreme Home Makeover', '1 Versus 100', 'American Idol' and 'Identity'. I could never get into 'Canadian Idol' ... it's different and kinda weird. I really like looking around for videos like the one below.

Books:

I am not an avid reader of fiction/novels but I do love the Word of God, my fav translations are NIV, NKJV or "The Message" translation. I find that "The Message" translation really keeps things simple as I believe God intends scripture to be. Like a child trusting their father, we just need to read it, trust our Father and believe it. God said it - that settles it. My favourite Scripture is Psalm 1:1-3.The last book that I've read and really enjoyed was "Journey Into The Miraculous" - Todd Bently. I love books like that.

Heroes:

Besides the obvious, David ranks high as a hero to me. He was not perfect and "real' (had his faults). He worshipped God unconditionally and despite circumstance. He also responded correctly in most situations (worshipped) and God loved David very much despite his mistakes and helped him through the consequences of disobedience and sin.
