Love supreme it's the real universal remedy

About Me

Doctor Jazz's Universal Remedy, headed by the two producers Doc Delavie (Giancarlo Cagliero) and Doc Marcus (Marco Cimino), is an european collective of electronic jazz which includes a wide variety of musicians.Doctor Jazz's Universal Remedy has been wellknown on the Nu Jazz international scene since 2003 and tracks from their first CD (Doctor Jazz’s Universal Remedy - Release 1.0) were included on more than 50 of the most important compilations of the lounge/chill out/nujazz genre, such as Hotel Costes 6, Earth 7, Chill Out in Paris 2, Jazz Masters. Their debut album (Doctor Jazz’s Universal Remedy - Release 1.0) was intially released in 2003 by the German label Wellington & Sons. Then Kriztal Ent undertook distribution for the North American market (2004), followed by Pravzvuka for the ex-Russian territories (2005).DJUR has also collaborated with many important musical “gurus” such as LTJ Bukem (UK), Dzihan & Kamien (AU), Dj Shade (FR), Cay Taylan (AU), Sammy Majbour (GE). Sammy’s newly created German label Young Society Rec. (GE) released DJUR new album (Doctor Jazz’s Universal Remedy -Release 2.0).The Doctors has also released music for film, television, advertising, fashion shows, art events and call centers. It all evolves from the magical combination of several ingredients: Doc Delavie is the DJ and record collector, with a remarkable talent for finding gorgeous samples to build new tracks with; he is also the project’s art director. Doc Marcus contributes his skills in producing and songwriting, playing keyboards and flute. The other members of the collective are: Doc Blade (Danilo Pala), an exceptionally gifted saxophone player; Miss Loulou, who quickens the Remedy with her voice; Flavio Boltro, former trumpet player for Michel Petrucciani and a really talented jazz musician; the overwhelming, eclectic guitarist Max Carletti; young drummer Mattia Barbieri; french vocalist Pascale Charreton and new entry, from Sri Lanka, Joy with her smooth voice.Try to immagine the wild jazz of the 50s and 60s, Morricone, the “paparazzis” riding over the Croisette beach, Miles Davis providing the music for French Nouvelle Vague films, Velosolex and Vespa scooters. But don’t forget what came after: the electronic sounds of the 80s and 90s, Fender Rodhes electric piano and drum machines. Be it chilled jazz or a cocktail smoothie you will always find the Universal Remedy so, so refreshing!
