metal decorated by atmosphere and emotion...
The band began as a small scale project fueled by the creative mind and drive of Jonathan Allen. After successfully writing, recording, and producing the band’s first album “Awakening†Jonathan began his search for fellow musicians to complete the lineup. His attempts fell on deaf ears and after nearly a year of waiting he was approached by Justin and James Hadley. The twin brothers were to take the roles of guitar and percussion, they fit in perfectly. Now having three-fourths of the band complete the final position would prove to be a difficult one to fill. After milling through numerous musicians in an attempt to acquire a bass player they turned to a long time friend of Justin and James: Luke Abbott. Finally, after a month of searching the lineup was complete. Rebirth to Ends quickly began rehearsing and subsequently began playing shows. Fairly new to the Maine local scene, the melodic metal quartet has received nothing but support from musicians and fans alike. With the creative minds of these four individuals, they feel that they will become a driving force among the Maine music scene. It’s with their love and dedication to the music and the fans that they hope to achieve this status.
Rebirth to Ends is the creator of industrial-tinged alt-metal that will pound like happy spikes into your grateful mind as you are riveted to the wall by this pulsing, thriving heartbeat of sonic energy. The music is chock full of dynamics, with vocals shifting in style from clean to gritty to calling from a distance and the instrumental aspects move from deceptively calm melodic spots to surges of metallic aggression guaranteed to get your adrenaline flowing.
Balance
What makes Rebirth to Ends is its focus on both artistry and mainstream appeal. “I think good music is about balance between technique and commercial quality. It doesn't matter if you can do 30 sweeps in a solo if it doesn't serve the song or portray your emotions. At the same time, four power chords strummed over and over has never really hit me emotionally, nor has it impressed me,†according to Jonathan Allen. Emotions are also a vital part of Rebirth to Ends dedication to songwriting quality. A song must bear the emotional message of its creators. “If one of my songs seems like it means more to the listener than it does to me, I feel I've accomplished something special.â€
