Punk Punk Goose is a radio show on the University of Maryland based WMUC 88.1 FM which is the longest running true FM alternative in the DC area. First heard in October of 2003, Punk Punk Goose still champions punk rock as well as dipping in to other ignored music styles including progressive rock & death metal which have yet to find a real home of any significance on any station in the DC area. I challenge anyone in the Washington DC or Baltimore area to show me where they are spinning legendary acts like the Warrior Kids or The Last Resort as well as debuting brand new The Fall of Troy or 1956 on area FM. The bulk of what is spun on air is from 2003, 2004 & 2005 releases. Without looking backwards, unless it's a good re-issue, Punk Punk Goose is dedicated to the labels & bands still going at it year after year. In addition to music, we've hosted live on air interviews with seminal rockers Larry Miller of Destroy All Monsters & Mach Bell of Thundertrain/Joe Perry Project AS WELL as newer acts like Kecak & obscure (til now) 1 man synth band Experimental Hypothesis. This doesn't make me jesus, it just means i'm doing my job. Tune in, you wont be sorry, unless you are sorry.Update 2006...Last show was January 22, 2006 but yea, i'm back on all summer long.
