About Me
These are the only surviving versions of these songs. I recorded them in the summer of 2004, with the help of one of the best drummers in the universe (Luke Bullen). Unfortunately, I didn't have time or money to finish them. Shortly afterwards, the studio burned down, taking my "masters" with it. Hence, these songs are atrociously mixed, have all kinds of little "bits of character" on them that really shouldn't be there, and I can't sing very well to boot.
Up until now, only about four people have heard them, and only ONE of them has asked to hear them again. But I figured that there is so much rubbish out there on myspace (as well as lots of great stuff obviously), so why should I be any different?
Anyways, enough of all that...erm...
I used to be in an (for want of a better word) "art rock" band called Delicatessen. For a short while, Neil the singer and myself were in a band, with tabloid favourites Pearl Lowe and Danny Goffey, called Lodger. When that all fell apart in the late 90s, I embarked on an enjoyable and sporadic "career" playing as a hired hand for various types, including Toshack Highway, Heather Nova, Martina Topley-Bird, Anthony Reynolds (in his various incarnations), Sophia and French genius Barth. Over the last couple of years, I've had the pleasure of being part of The Tears with Viv Anderson and Bernard Bresslaw. I'm also a squad member of The (vastly underrated and under-rehearsed) Kittens, as well as playing in Steve "considerably more indie than you" Lamacq's Punk Rock Karaoke band, and dreamy, erm, "art rockers" Helene. Thankyou and goodnight...
