About Me

My name is Happy Frejo I am a member of the Pawnee and Seminole Nations of Oklahoma. I am a singer, poet, dancer, actress and now filmmaker. I travel across the United States to reservations and native communities encouraging the youth while conducting dance workshops and performing my original music. I am a cast member of the Native American Production called SPIRIT, The Seventh Fire and I dance with Yellowhouse which is a Native Dance Troupe based in Arizona. I currently sing in a band called Straight Up which is based in Phoenix and perform along with my brothers known as Culture Shock Camp. I am currently recording songs for my first C.D. due out in 2007. As also promoting my film Project ....."My Darkest Hour". This is my first film but definitely not my last. Stay tuned for the release of "My Darkest Hour".
This film is based on a true story about a young girl who is deeply affected by her parents divorce. Internalizing her emotions she becomes consumed by her hate and unforgiveness towards her mother. As she gets older she copes the only way she knows how to numb her pain. Hitting rock bottom she is faced with the end her life until the unthinkable occurs......
