Music, art, writing, outdoors, walking, running, and anything else fun and interesting. I like to do new things and travel.
Musicians, cool people (no stuck ups), artists, poets, writer, and beautiful women. A guess anybody real.
The blues (anything bluesy, I can't name them all and can't listen enough--Chicago, acoustic and electric is my fav), rock n' roll, psychedelic, late 80's and early 90's indie/alternative/grunge (120 Minutes was an awesome show--it's not on Money TV anymore because they sold out around the mid 90's--but didn't everybody), surf, jazz, r n' b and soul (new and old), gospel, flemeco and Spanish guiar (check out the Once Upon a Time in Mexico soundtrack), techno, house, country, folk, Irish and Celtic music, Asian and Indian music, Middle Eastern music, Native American music, World music, heavy metal, 70's and 80's punk (new punk sucks), some rap, and classical. The groups I like is always changing, but here is a couple I can think of know (in no particular order of course): Jimi Hendrix (I put Jimi Hendrix first because his playing has had the most influence on my own style of guitar), The Beatles (there will never again be a band this good again), Pink Floyd (take your meds and these guys are the best), The Beach Boys (Pet Sounds is the most amazing record ever made, far better than Sgt. Pepper), Shonen Knife (one of the best and most lyrically honest groups ever), The Byrds (one of my biggest influences in music), Arthur Lee and Love (Forever Changes is one of the best albums of all time-I fell in love with it the first time I heard it), Creedence Clearwater Revival (my dad's favorite group and mine, too), Bob Dylan ("Hey, Mr Tambourine Man"-Bob Dylan's 115th Dream is the funniest song ever writing), Howlin' Wolf (my blues hero), Marvin Gaye (my R 'n B hero), Lush (Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi are two of the most talented and underrated songwriters of 90s alternative music), Miles Davis (my jazz hero), B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Robert Johnson, Elmore James, John Lennon (Yer Blues!!!-my songwriting hero), Paul McCartney and Wings, Lightnin Hopkins, Ozzy Osborne, Black Sabbath, Ledbelly, Jane's Addition, Primus, Chicago, Tori Amos, Crosby Stills and Nash, Guns and Roses, The Funk Brothers (they are Motown so just about anything Motown), Tina Turner and Ike Turner, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Eric Clapton and Cream, The Who, Martha and the Vandellas, Al Green, KISS, Alice Cooper, The Supremes, Syd Barrett, AC/DC, Al Green, Jefferson Airplane, Steppenwolf, Aerosmith, Van Morrison and Them, The Clash, REM, Charlie Parker, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, U2, Bo Diddley, Little Ricard, Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, Ray Charles, Buddy Hollie, The Eagles, The Police, Bestie Boys, Megadeth, Nirvana, Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention ("Mr America, walk on by, your schools that do not teach"), The Rolling Stones, Earth Wind and Fire, The Velvet Underground, Jonny Cash, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Prince, James Brown, Sonic Youth, Alice in Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Doors, Mississippi John Hurt, The Breeders, The Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath, Sam Cooke, Anthrax, Michelle Branch and The Wreckers (in my opinion the one of the only good artist today), The Flying Burrito Brothers, Santana, John Lee Hocker, BB King, Muddy Waters, Bjork, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, The Cure, Pantera, Metallica, Van Halen, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Social Distortion, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin, Iron Maiden, Norah Jones, Selena, Hope Sandoval and Mazzy Star, Jewel, The Bangles, The Go Go's, The Cranberries, Bob Seger, Babes in Toylands, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Belly, Sade, The Cure, Cat Stevens, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mack, Motorhead, John Coltrane, Simon and Garfunkel, Sepultura, Slayer, Ministry, Neil Young, Duke Ellington, Bennie Goodman, Louis Armstrong, MC5, The Police, L7, Luscious Jackson, Public Enemy, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, NWA, 2Pac, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, and about a thousand more artist that I can't remember right now or heard their songs and have it in my head somewhere.
