From the splinter in the hand, to the thorn in the heart, to the shotgun to the head...

About Me

I'm a complex, fucked-up, 60's child (by just a few days). I'm also honest to a fault, so much so, that I'll self-destruct to get my point across. It's a curse, but a blessing. Very few things shock me, but man's own stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I've done enough stupid Darwin Award-level stunts of my own to know why I'm here now. I'm a good ear when needed, I can hold a conversation about most things, and most importantly, I'm willing to admit what I don't know... I may talk shit from time to time, but I know when I'm doing it. Don't be afraid to point it out either, as I have an unwaivering need to learn about the world, and I'll keep asking stupid questions until it sinks in. After all, school teaches us how to educate ourselves, so why waste the best skill we have?
Where do I start.. ok, there are very few things that I actually want from life. When the sun is up, I love my golf. There's nothing better than playing a new course for the first time, seeing beautiful scenery, playing that one shot that makes it all worth while, then making a complete hash of the next shot. Golf can teach you many things, but more than anything it teaches you humility, patience and an acceptance that when you lose a ball, you were the one that hit it there. A metaphor for life. (For those who want to know, I play off 16~, and use Ping G5 Driver (12-offset), Ping G5 Rescue's (16 and 19), Ping I5 irons (2 thru PW), Progen wedges (49, 52 and 60), Ping Tour SW, Rossa Daytona-L ASGI putter.)
When the sun goes down, I'm a lover of latex, heels, corsets and gasmasks.. but oddly, I'm not a fan of vanilla women's clothing. I've a pretty slender figure and female cut fetish-wear seems to fit me far better than male-cut garments. I also love the idea of the transformation it provides (edit: a good word to describe it... androgeny), and I'm a fan of layers. Latex has so many wonderful sides. It enhances the good parts, hides the bad parts, the world seems to fall away, it bares the soul, yet makes you feel bulletproof. You feel safe, yet feel dangerous. Would like to meet other people (male/female) who have a similar approach to latex, etc.
I enjoy my food. Ironic that I can eat a proverbial horse, yet put on no weight (I've been known to eat over 7000 calories in one day). If there's one way for me to annoy a girl, it's letting them know this fact. I think I still have the scars from one conversation... but when it comes to food, you definately get what you pay for. The guys at work are thinking of buying M&S shares, as I'm proping up their profit margin.
Alcohol is a treat that I'll partake in probably once in a blue moon (gone for more than a year without it before now), I don't do drugs (been there, done that), but I smoke like a trooper and I have a caffiene drip next to me at all times.
The other love of my life is music. Whilst my radio stream is mostly based around electroic music of different kinds, I'll listen to virtually anything.
Just to warn you, I am a bit of a music snob - although it may seem like a talent, I can remember virtually every track I have for lyrics and breaks, sample spot, and have strong opinions about people who don't know what they're talking about when it comes to music and being narrow-minded about it. The playlists above are just a small cross-section of what I listen to and enjoy.
Worked with computers since a kid, and professionally since '86. Rarely does an hour go by without a computer or handheld being close by. Don't like email, as it takes too long to manage. 55,000 emails so far this year, so don't always expect to get a response if you do mail me.

My Interests

Golf, latex and all that comes with it, computers, good food and good music. Only get one shot at this "life" malarky, so I'll try anything once.

As for the rest? let's be clear on this. I can save you time by saying that alot of things interest me, and alot of things don't. Finding out what does it for me is part of the puzzle, and if I list them all, then it takes away the fun of finding out. 37 years of being open-minded negates the need for a list, and if I did, it wouldn't fit on this page. My interests cover the whole spectrum from the mundane to the extreme, and from the cheesy centre ground to the darkest recesses.

Definately one of those people who will take something to it's logical conclusion, so if something takes my interest, then it has my full, undivided attention. What's the point in doing something at less than 100%? After all, if you don't, and it doesn't work out, then you'll never know why because you didn't give it your all.

I'd like to meet:

The people below...

Until I know you better, I don't like being talked down to and don't like being talked up to either... we're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world, so leave any attitudes you have at the doorstep, and you'll be more than welcome to enjoy a good cuppa in front of the fire. :D

Oh, and please take into consideration that I spent considerable time getting this page looking right, and that your adverts, banners and other large images are going to make a mess of it. Instead of asking people to take this into consideration, I've turned off comment html, so you'll have to be more original in your comments. After all, "Thanks For The Add" images are just lazy, and that stolen picture or artwork of a model in bondage, rubber, or heels isn't just boring, it's someone elses property.

If you ARE the model in the image you want to add, I'll get around to rewarding friends that have good websites in my own way, so feel free to comment/message your page URL if you have one and I'll check it out.

So, think outside the box for a few minutes, and write a comment that actually means something to the world. One more thing, I speak two languages... English and Loud English for Non-English Speakers.

IMPORTANT: Unless I know you, you will NOT be accepted if:

your page has hundreds of useless graphics or flash players,
you load your page with stolen images of women in bondage or latex,
you obviously can't be arsed to let people know something interesting about yourself,
    you have no profile image,
you think it's funny to be 69 years old, when you're obviously 14,
you think Paris Hilton serves a useful purpose,
you think enigmatic passages of text make you more interesting.
your profile is Private... like you're THAT important *cough*,
your comment list is made up completely of "thanks for the add" posts,
I think you're wasting my time.
Don't think for one moment I will message you explaining why I refused you... no offence, but these are the rules of engagement. Posting mutiple bulletins in quick succession will also be rewarded with a no-warning removal.

Music:

Get ready - this is very important:Music is the most important thing in my life. More so that golf or latex, and as either player(!) will know, that's saying a great deal. I listen to anything good, be that classical, techno, rock, and any other genre that moves music forwards. Ex-techno/house-DJ ('91 to '97) played along side alot of well-known names, and can sure as hell suck a beat longer than most. :)

Some recent playlists have included the following:

Movies:

Donnie Darko, Darkstar, Apocalypse Now, Akira, The Right Stuff, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, La Haine, Alien, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, Patton, Dr Strangelove. Anything with a score composed by Thomas Newman (American Beauty, Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, Meet Joe Black, etc). I'm one of those people who appreciates a good intro sequence to a film... it shows they've taken time to make an effort, especially films like Se7en. Oh, and anything a bit fucked up, such as Requiem For A Dream, etc. Short films like Page 73 and Atomic Tabasco are must-see's.

Television:

Spooks, Horizon. Very selective about what I watch, at least until 11pm when I get suckered into watching crap TV rather than going to bed. I also like watching US sports (big fan of the Houston Astros), and enjoy some of the CSI-esque programs that are invading our airwaves. West Wing, Sopranos, Oz, etc... all good with me. Oops, and good music videos, especially Chris Cunningham's works (Windowlicker, Come To Daddy, All Is Full Of Love, etc).

Books:

Only one book matters, Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. Way before his time, and a guide book to the future. Oh, and Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail '72"... that guy was a god.

Heroes:

The Mexico'70 Brazil and England squads, Winston Churchill, Andrew Weatherall, Mick Ronson and Johnny Marr, David Purley and Ayrton Senna, The Unknown Warrior, Mikhail Gorbachev and JFK, NASA for the Apollo missions, and last but not least, Underground Resistance.
