Main interest is Snowboarding...or as I like to call it throwing myself down a slope and hoping I stay upright for at least half. I took up photography a couple of years ago when I was given an old Canon AE1 SLR camera that belonged to my Grandad. I also sew, I know its a really old fashioned hobby, but I find it is really good thing to occupy you while listening to music.
Old friends, new friends, people from all over the world. Anyone who likes music, films and books. Love people to recommend stuff, I'll try anything once.
I listen to anything and everything. My CD Collection has everything from Aha and Bucks Fizz, Limp Bizkit, Dave Matthews, Rock stuff, Dance stuff, Cheesey stuff, new stuff, old stuff, classical stuff...the list goes on. Going through a bit of a snow Patrol phase at the minute, plus some stuff the Norwegian guys got me into.Love to hear new stuff so if you know any good stuff get in touch, would love to hear it!
I love films that scare me, films that make me laugh and films that make me cry....although I have a tendency to cry at everything I watch, so that doesn't really narrow it down, anything that gets a reaction, I like. I do sometimes go through a daft film phase such as Baseketball, Jackass (I know it isn't big or clever, but it made me laugh).I don't get Star Wars, to me they are OK films but why do people have kittens over them?Favourite films are Dogma and the original Japanese Ring Trilogy.
Love watching the adverts
I love books, anything and everything. I try to read a modern book followed by a classic. My favourite modern author is Robert Rankin, I tend to laugh out loud to some of his books. As for favourite classic book, this is a choice between 1984 and Catcher in the rye.
My heroes are the people I see on a day to day basis. Families who look after sick and dying relatives, patients who can still smile even though they are going through the most painful treatment you could imagine, Nurses, Doctors and Care assistants that try their hardest to make a patient comfortable despite being moaned at, not appreciated by the public as a whole, who live for the job...lets face it they don't do it for the money!!
