THERE'S THAT BEAT! is a full color glossy magazine produced in the United States and focuses on the artists, producers, songwriters, record labels of Rare Northern Soul. This Issue, (ISSUE #7), is available now! It contains 48 full color glossy pages of features celebrating Rare Northern Soul. In this feature you'll find the story of the Soulville/Jaywalking record labels. Hailing from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Bobby Fulton the labels owner and driving musical force, takes us back to the neighbourhood where it all started and relates the development of these fantastic labels and their musical heritage. We place the prolific works of legendary producer Mr George Kerr under the TTB! spotight. From the dancefloor fillers of the 60s to the sublime soul sounds of the 70s and beyond, Mr Kerr's legacy stands up there with the very finest. We share a journey with Mr Carl Fisher, the driving force behind a group that could justifiably claim to be soul's first supergroup - The Vibrations. From their early beginnings inn High School, through their iconic 45s at Chess, Okeh and Neptune, Carl relates the story in his own words and pictures. Motown's cardboard picture discs issued by the TOPP's company are explored alongside vintage Promo art and Trade ads that the company used, many of them becoming collectible in their own right and a tribute to Bobby Robinson's now closed record store in Harlem rounds off this bumper issue! 48 FULL COLOR GLOSSY Pages rammed to the gunnels with lots of soulful stuff! All for 10 measly bucks!! We must be CRAZY! ORDER NOW AT WWW.THERESTHATBEAT.COM
