Jesse - Guitarist and songwriter, Psy-dub and Modern-Dub dj under the name Huckleberry - Forest Dub , member of FYAH WALK and member of the Forest Dub Collective.Short musical bio.. ...Started off playing in a band in Central Victoria in 92 called Puckle with founding members Reagan ( now in Longpig ) and Shane French ( now in ) , moved on into Big and Beefy band Aardvark which I was a proud member of for 5 years. Major respects and love to Shane French, Ben Butcher (now in Baseball, Jihad against America, Assasination Collective ) and Daniel Mayes ( now in ) Played many unbelievable shows , many beers and many tears , released one album and one EP. Have your Jokin Labotomy (EP) , and Earth Pig (LP) Band put on hold but never forgotton in 2000 when I moved to Byron Bay. Major respects and love to three very special people. Also played with these special musos in Crudvark which was a reverse Aardvark. Only the people who witnessed this know this sound ! In this time I also worked on other projects including part producing Chad Ramsey's first EP . All my own work . Big UP Chad. Then moved on in 2003 to the Lion I band, first formed with Gary O' Dread, Uncle Jesse Leyland, and Dave Stuart. Concentrating on the work of two singers Scotty Plant and Raz Bin Sam , much amazing music was made until Scotty left the band in late 2004. The band since then playing under the name ' Raz Bin Sam and the Lion I band have blitzed Byron Bay and beyond with their original reggae sound playing over 50 gigs in that period, peaking with a huge gig at Splendour in the Grass 2006. Since that time I have been writing mostly reggae music,rhythm and sounds. I have Ifficialy split from Raz Bin Sam and the Lion I band in feb 07, moving on and up and working on new projects, doing some work with One4One, Bushman Roots and mainly working with a new group FYAH WALK which features the wonderful songs of Simon Jerrems backed by a power group of NNSW reggae musicians. , Also core member and founder of The Forest Dub Collective which is a continual concept and a group of people dedicated to putting forward new musical ideas based around reggae and dub, a label, and production company as well . Huckleberry plays a melodic and bass heavy mix of psy-dub and future Dub music well suited to psychadelic reggae infused sessions, playing modern dub from all around the world, he has a huge selection of music ranging from eoropean steppers dub, rare New Zealand and Australian Dub ,heavy Jamaican, UK and world dub all with a dreamy psychedelic feel. He has been a reggae based musican for many years doing work with Fyah Walk, Lion I, One4One and many others. He has played at Exodus Festivals, Superfreak Festival, Splendor in the Grass and has recently supported Spoonbill and Mystic Beats.
