About Me


Dancehall and Reggae
Rhythm Collision Sound founder and deejay/selector Basmati returned to Brisbane Australia in 2002 after several years living overseas and interstate. Having first being introduced to dancehall and reggae music on the Caribbean coast of Central America and the soundsystems of the streets of inner west London, he has been listening to, collecting, organising & promoting dancehall and reggae shows and deejaying reggae music throughout his travels. He has built up an extensive reggae music collection and knowledge of reggae music history and culture
Basmati is complemented on tunes by Hemi Tuff originally from Port Vila, Vanuatu and Gregwise originally from Cape Town, South Africa
With the freshest “up to the time” reggae riddims from Jamaica selected by Basmati, Gregwise and Hemi Tuf in today’s modern dancehall, conscious roots and outernational as well as the classics, samples, effects and delays make a Rhythm Collision Sound show a unique energetic live experience
