A FESTIVAL:
A 2 day festival happening in A-huset (A-house), which is an abandoned office building at Copenhagen's harbor, which now houses artist, musicians and other creatives. The 6th floor is the most popular summer-venue with it's 300 sqm roof terrace, and the festival will be taking place on various locations in the huge building.
Copenhagens indie- and club entrepreneurs have united to do a mini-festival, showcasing the Danish alternative music scene. First day, 31st of october. In the evening, leader-of-the-pack promoter Geo Rasmussen, will be hosting a live-band-odyssey with everything from rave-rock to indietronica. Geo likes to dress up when he is with his 'Lords of Leather' dj-crew but usually he 'just' managing Vega night club. Later the same night danish dj legend Kjeld Toldstrup will be showing his favorite bands and djs. Kjeld Toldstrup has been djing and collecting records since 1981 and he is still one of the most respected underground djs in the Copenhagen alternative scene. Second day, 1st of November, The early live program will presented by danish indierock label nr 1, Crunchy Frog, who were the ones to discover Powersolo, Raveonettes and Junior Senior. They have used their network to gather the best Danish bands, established as well as 'yet to be discovered'.
At night the danish underground community 'Kill Your Telly' with DJ MHM One behind the wheel are having their regular mad party as you know them from all over the place in Cph. At A Festival KYT presents both a Copenhagen and a Cologne techno super act live on stage. . .
The Two days will include some of the most exciting names. To mention a few: Diefenbach released their latest album on UK label Wall of Sound and are just finishing new material. Trentemøller is by now world famous with his legendary remixes of Royksopp, The Knife and Pet Shop Boys, but besides that he do beautiful down tempo material fx. on his debut album 'Last Resort'. Whomadewho have been touring all over Europe with bands like Mylo, Soulwax, Art Brut and Annie as one of the first bands doing crossover between rock and dance. International names will be Revl9n who will show us that two half naked swedish girls and a bearded guy actually can make pretty cool music. Simian Mobile Disco, which are the producers of the moment with ties to Klaxons, Shitdisco and many other hyped bands. Justus Köhncke, signed to techno's most hyped label Kompakt, is doing his soft-pop-techno live show. Besides that a lot of new talent is gathered these two days. To add some extra spice Jesper Elg (v1 gallery) and Martin De Thura have curated a visual project 'Outtakes' showing 'directors cut' music videos and art movies on screens all over the venue.

Outtakes is a series of films and reedited outtakes all with the common denominator of never having been in wide circulation before. Up until this day they have been lying around in the artist's brain, drawer or laptop as a scene that was never used, a film that was never finished or a music video too weird for tv. Now they have been revived and given a frankenstein-like life of their own. The series will include works from some of Denmark's finest and most progressive video artists, cinematographers and directors. Among the selected artists are Adam Hashemi, Anna MarÃa Helgadóttir, Jesper Just, Manuel Claro, Sasha Cogez, Levent Bøilerehauge and Martin de Thurah. The Outtakes programme has been curated by director Martin de Thurah and gallerist Jesper Elg.
