6th of september 2007: Beatless Propaganda stops
Dear friends,
it is with huge grief and regret that we announce that Beatless Propaganda has decided to stop its organisation. Beatless Propaganda had become much more than a fun hobby for us three icelandic students - we realised and learned that this kind of work takes a lot of time and effort.
We are extremely glad for all the positive response and attention we have recieved. Beatless Propaganda arranged 4 great concerts in Copenhagen last season and we would like to thank all of you that showed up and supported our project.
We want to thank the fantastic acts that played at our shows and thank you for believing in us. We would also like to thank our sponsors for their support, especially Icelandair and 12 Tónar.
It's very clear that Icelandic music always draws attention and will always have a dedicated following here in Denmark. Before we started our project, medium-sized/known Icelandic acts weren..t playing many gigs over here, and if they were it wasn't promoted properly. That we wanted to change and we believe that it is slowly but securely changing. Just look at the acts playing over here this semester:
Benni Hemm Hemm (IS) & Seabear (IS) - Friday 7.9. Bryggen
Pétur Ben (IS) - Wednesday 3.10 Lille Vega
Amiina (IS) - Wednesday 17.10 Lille Vega
múm (IS) - Monday 26.11 Lille Vega
We have heard rumours about many other acts coming over so we are looking forward to a great Icelandic winter here in Copenhagen!
Again, thank you for your support.

ps. we will check our profile and email once in a while, but not frequently.
