About Me

Although I'm not necessarily new to myspace - let's save the full story for the biopic... So I acquiesce to a dear friend who wrote this intro for me as such:

Ric Taylor is one of my favourite people that ever lived. I heard his radio show one sunny afternoon in 1999 and was instantly smitten with his booming voice and dirty wit. We went out drinking that night he made me laugh so hard I peed myself. Then I puked. He's THAT funny.

Not only is he the host of the coolest radio show around, LULLABIES IN RAZORLAND (http://cfmu.mcmaster.ca/) every Friday evening, but he keeps us informed of all the cool music-related news happening in Hamilton with his weekly column, MUSIC NOTES in View Magazine
(http://www.viewmag.com). He is so important to the Hamilton music community and even more important to those of us who love him so.

And he has a nice bum.

Sincerely,

Lasha Laskowsky, Singer of The Lorrainas.

My Interests

Music, movies, photography, pop culture, what-have-you... my friend Lasha wrote my intro... she's a singer and an inspiration!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

You'll probably find lots of links to a plethora of incredible area artists... My interests do expand beyond the greater Hamilton area but there isn't enough space... I'll probably not be able to debate you on Gregorian Chants or Sea Shanties but otherwise give'er

Movies:

A good plot, some character development - Music and comedies are what I gravitate to but I'll watch thrillers or action flicks. Thoroughly enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction, The Life Aquatic, Punch Drunk Love, High Fidelity, Lost In Translation, Bubba Ho-Tep, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, The Prestige, The Departed

Television:

Grew up on SNL, SCTV, Letterman, Seinfeld and Frightenstein so I gravitate to the off-kilter comedy... Earl, Office, South Park... But the drama can be fun. Boston Legal mixes both, well, so does South Park.

Books:

The Clash - Last Gang In Town (Gray), From The Velvets To The Voidoids (Heylin), The Idiot (Dostoyevsky), Catcher In The Rye (Salinger), How Soon Is Never (Spitz) - all good reads if you're interested. I gots one of them there book degrees so I've read some but focus more these days on biographies...

Heroes:

I / I will be king / And you / you will be queen / Though nothing will drive them away / We can beat them /just for one day/ We can be heroes / just for one day /
