About Me
The son of a rockstar of one of Australia's biggest rock groups, Hess grew up in and around music production all his life, and from an early age he started writing and producing his own musical creations.
Hess produces many various styles of dance music from Electro House, Main room house, tribal, minimal, and many more.
Hess is also one of the founders of the Bamboo Music record label and is Manager, A&R of the label. Hess has collaborated with many artists and top producers from all around the world, has many releases out worldwide and is famous as a producer in the worldwide dance music community.
Recently, Hess has lauched his new label imprint called "Safari Music" with label partners Mobin Master & Miles Henry. The label is signing all kinds of house music from Australia and all over the world. With huge interest and already signing off many tracks to major labels such as Ministry of Sound UK & One Love Australia. This label is looking to be a main player in the dance music industry.
DJ Style & History
Hess is a very versatile DJ and can play many different styles of dance music from funky vocal house through to many forms of Electro & House music.
Over his many years of DJing, Hess has perfected the art of playing to a crowd and feels comfortable playing in any environment to crowds of many sizes. His skill of working a room is flawless and always scores big points with the people on the dancefloor. Screams and hands in the air are a common occurrence when Hess is behind the decks.
Spinning vinyl is where is all started, with Hess now clocking up over 17 years of Djing, playing to crowds all over the world. He has lived in Australia, USA and China.
As a DJ, Hess has now established himself as one of the pioneers of House music in China and gained a high level of respect playing in the international club circuit.
Hess has played some of the top venues in the world including the famous Zouk nightclub in Singapore, receiving great reviews and working the room to frenzy. His last gig at Zouk was one on one with Saeed Younan (Addictive records, Younan Music USA) to promote Saeeds first release on Bamboo.
Back in Melbourne, Hess regularly plays at many of the city's most exclusive clubs and events and has recently been picked up by the ONE LOVE group as DiscoMafia with Miles Junior. Hess latest sets see him playing a main room house / electro style mixed with familiar tracks while cutting up and live "re-mixing" his music in a frenzy.
Music production
Hess released numerous tracks and remixes on Bamboo and has appeared on many compilations all over the world (see below). Hess produces with partners Mobin Master, Nick Demkiw & Miles Junior (Disco Mafia) on a regular basis, creating many styles of dance music. His vocal house productions have seen him work many top house singers such as Diane Charlemagne (DEmpress, Moby, Goldie, ATFC) and Marcia Hines.
