I like New York in June, how about you? I love a Cullum tune, how about you?

About Me

Chica latina married to a sexy Texan cowboy, enjoying life in Atlanta, GA - the land of Ray Charles and Martin Luther King. No kids yet (ask me 9 months from now). Occupation: shower singing diva, personal chef, BATMA cheerleader, and I do a bit of commercial real estate on the side (say from 9 to 5).

My Interests

Art, politics, real estate, traveling, music, the insanity of the stock market, and the fabulous people this world is filled with. The latest addition to my list of interests: The awesomely breathtaking Atlanta Thrashers. Go Blueland!

I'd like to meet:

People from all over the world! If you're in this world and you can type, you're my kinda person! ;)

Music:

Right this minute I'm all into Jamie Cullum, Getz/Gilberto, and Edith Piaf, but my one true love is Dino (Will-you-marry-me-Mr.-Martin, can't-live-without-you kind of love). That's not to say I don't enjoy more contemporary music: Shakira, Black Eyed Peas, Santana, Heather Headley, Aterciopelados, Capsule... my MP3 player is filled with their music. My favorite song ever: Grazing in the grass (better than a spa treatment good).

Movies:

Something's gotta give, The Holiday, Mr. Smith goes to Washington, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Plus: The Mouline Rouge, Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, and Citizen Kane.

Television:

Whose line is it anyways? (The American Version), The golden girls, Reba, This Old House... and Sex & the City.

Books:

The essentials: Jane Austen, Alejandro Dolina, Pablo Neruda, and my dearest Don Cervantes. I also like Dr. Savage's books (I'm so politically incorrect for saying that, but it's true).

Heroes:

Mr. Dale Chihuly. He's fascinating.

It's finally happened, I never thought it would, but I've finally given Chick Lit a chance and I'm hooked. Over the last few weeks I've read Bridget Jones's Diary, all of the Shopaholic series (...

Space Pool and The City

I was a huge fan of Candance Bushnell back in 2005. H U G E, huge. This lasted three full months and then I grew out of it overnight. Some times I regret downgrading her from semi-deity...

The man who dared read Eve’s Diary

I sent Eve's Diary to a friend tonight. I hope he'll dare read it, and I hope it will touch him in the same way it's touched me. Mark Twain wrote this right after his wife died. The ending is so very...

Im a Barbie girl in the Barbie world...

McCain robbed a Toys R Us and he got himself a Barbie. Not only that but he's apparently also taken the doll to New Hampshire. Tonight, he pulled her out of his pocket and introduced her as "his wife"...

CNN does it again...

I kid you not people, today they were playing "Britney's meltdown" and "Hillary's meltdown" back to back. Is that a subliminal message or am I reading too much into it?
