A sense of choking and glorification at the same time, which summarizes itself in a dumb shout, in the instinct which gets us to turn against a thousand chains which bind us and keep us prisoner.The project was born in the summer 2004, from four people (Raffa, Frankie, Vanni, Vanz) who decided to begin a new adventure…Cruel Boxes, after only 5 months together, got into Bunker recording studio ( Vicenza) to release their first EP, completely self-produced.After the release, the band found itself on the road for a 40 dates tour in Rome, Bologna, Como, Venice and in all the main Italian provinces, playing with Alexisonfire, Forty Winks, the Gaia Corporation, Vanilla Sky, Evil's Jackson, Linea 77, Dufresne, besides the several realities of the national and international outline, selling out all the 500 copies they had released!Cruel Boxes will soon start the composition of the new tracks in which the band sound will get more compact and direct, more mature thanks to the experience done on the road.In August 2006 the band get again into a recording studio for the full-length album "All the broken chains": 10 tracks produced, recorded and mixed by DAVID LENCI (CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY, ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN, THREE SECOND KISS, BLONDE RED HEAD, STEVE ALBINI) @ RED HOUSE RECORDINGS STUDIO (LINEA 77, MAX GAZZE', SUBSONICA, ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN) and mastered by TOM BAKER (NINE INCH NAILS, DEFTONES, HOOBASTANK, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE,UNDEROATH) @ PRECISION MASTERING STUDIO, HOLLYWOOD (CA).The journey is still long, but never finished…Cruel Boxes è l'insieme di sensazioni che ci investe ogni giorno.Un senso di soffocamento e di esaltazione allo stesso tempo che si riassume in un urlo muto, nell'istinto che ci fa rivoltare contro mille catene che ci legano, ci imprigionano.Il progetto e' nato nell'estate 2004, da quattro persone (Raffa, Frankie, Vanni, Vanz) che, decidono di iniziare una nuova avventura…Cruel Boxes, entrano in studio dopo soli 5 mesi per pubblicare il primo EP, completamente auto prodotto, presso il Bunker Studio di Vicenza.Dopo la pubblicazione i quattro si ritrovano on the road per un tour di 40 date a Roma, Bologna, Como, Venezia e in tutte le principali province italiane, suonando con Alexisonfire, Forty Winks, the Gaia Corporation, Vanilla Sky, Evil's Jackson, Linea 77, Dufresne, oltre che a svariate realtà del panorama nazionale ed internazionale, esaurendo tutte le 500 copie stampate.Presto la composizione di nuovi pezzi, nei quali il sound del gruppo si fa più compatto e diretto, più maturo grazie all'esperienza fatta durante il tour.Nell'Agosto 2006 la band rientra in studio per il full length intitolato "All the broken chains", 10 tracce prodotte, registrate e mixate da DAVID LENCI (CHARLOTTE HATHERLEY, ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN, THREE SECOND KISS, BLONDE RED HEAD, STEVE ALBINI) presso il RED HOUSE RECORDINGS STUDIO (LINEA 77, MAX GAZZE', SUBSONICA, ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN) e masterizzate da TOM BAKER (NINE INCH NAILS, DEFTONES, HOOBASTANK, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE,UNDEROATH) presso il PRECISION MASTERING STUDIO di HOLLYWOOD (CA).Il viaggio è ancora lungo, ma mai finito…
