seems to me that maybe pretty much always means no

About Me

I'm basically a sarcastic little Irish girl. I have a job, I go to school, I have a broken volume control, I can curse like a sailor, and I may be lacking a few social filters. And I rarely ever talk politics. Anything else?

My Interests

I'm really into language. Theater, Classical and Renaissance Literature (with emphasis on Shakespeare), writing. costume design (but not fabrication), mythology, forensic science.

I'd like to meet:

The Great Shakes

Howard Keel

Oscar Wilde

Kevin Kline, The Pirate King

Music:

In answer, I shall post the Top Ten Most Played songs on my Ipod. Cuz, well, I can.
"Grace Kelly," MIKA
"Hillbillies," Hot Apple Pie
"Romeo and Juliet," Dire Straits
"Piece of My Heart," Janice Joplin
"Tribute," Tenacious D
"Untouched," The Veronicas
"Laid," James
"3 Libras," A Perfect Circle
"Fidelity," Regina Spektor
"All Along the Watchtower," Jimi Hendrix
"I Hate Men," Kiss Me Kate Soundtrack

Movies:

I'm fairly certain no one wants to read any kind of extensive list of the films I enjoy. Suffice it to say, there is a list, and it is too long to bother with here.

Television:

Simpsons, Family Guy. Law and Order:SVU occassionally, and those true crime shows... and I miss Highlander. Guilty pleasure... I also get sucked in by a lot of those A&E and History channel shows, particularly about Egypt and Rome. Or the renaissance... or art... really, anything other than ancient wars will suck me in. I guess I'm easy like that. And I'll still watch a rerun of Disney's Gargoyles now and then. That was the most literate, intelligent children's cartoon EVER!!

Books:

Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde. The Cadfael series by Ellis Peters. Tithe by Holly Black. Timeline. Neil Gaiman's American Gods, Stardust, Anansi Boys. House Made of Dawn. Agnes and the Hitman, Jennifer Crusie. Also Georgette Heyer. Terry Pratchett's Guards books in the Discworld series. Shakespeare. I read a lot of plays. Whatever strikes my fancy. I don't read alot of "important" stuff in my free time. I do enough critical reading in school, thank you very much. Books can be junk food, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Heroes:

Mes Amis...

The Beautious Jessyca

Tiffy, Pabs and My Lovely Alex

The Incredible, Incomparable Pablo, and The Stunning Ashley

Miss Amanda et Ma Petite Soeur

Crazy Ass Shermie
and of course...

The Little
